HiVitality

HiVitality was founded as the National Long Term Survivors Group (NLTSG) in 1992 and incorporated as a charity in 1994 and re-named in 2019.  The organisation remains as relevant today as it was back in the early 1990’s.  Issues around stigma, isolation, relationships and mental health challenges remain.
However people are living well – We are all Living Proof.

Living Proof
retreats allow you to explore the challenges you and others face living with HIV.

At our retreats we:

Encourage positive
living
Promote peer support
Challenge isolation
Build support networks

Shallowford House, Shropshire

Living Proof events provide a safe, relaxed place in the countryside to meet others who are also living with HIV.
You can choose how much, or how little, you take part in the organised activities.
If you want to join in, that’s great; if you chose not to, that’s ok too.

The retreats allow you to explore the challenges you and others face living with HIV.
We achieve this through peer support facilitated discussion groups, complementary therapies and well-being sessions.

The retreat I attended soon after being diagnosed with HIV saved my life.

I felt normal again, no judgement, just understanding and empathy.
